MicroPM Continuous Pump Monitor
The MicroPM is a fixed unit that provides continuous monitoring of pump performance. The system includes temperature and pressure probes, a microprocessor unit for data collection and analysis, an electrical power meter, and optionally speed sensors for variable speed pumps. Existing power meters and speed sensors can be used, if the information is available via SCADA. The microprocessor is standalone and does not need an operating system. A web browser can be used to view embedded webpages.
The MicroPM can be interfaced with the Micro Station Analyser and /or SCADA systems via MODBUS TCP, facilitating data retrieval and presentation, and efficient operation and maintenance. Self-testing features ensure system reliability. The embedded web interface allows for easy setup, real-time monitoring, and comparison of operational data against manufacturer specifications. Installation is straightforward, involving fitting probes and cabling, and networking flexibility supports wired or wireless connections.

Benefits
-
Real-Time Monitoring: Provides real-time data on the operational status of each pump.
-
Early Issue Detection: Quickly identifies pump system problems across all operational scenarios.
-
Optimized Efficiency: Enables preferential operation of the most efficient pumps.
-
Performance-Based Maintenance: Facilitates calculation of refurbishment payback times based on performance data.
-
Integrated with SCADA/HMI: Easily interfaces with PLC, SCADA, or HMI systems with included expert firmware, minimizing development and maintenance costs.
-
Accurate Flow Rate Monitoring: Determines true mass and volume flow rates with low uncertainty, independent of factors which influence other types of flow meter. Calibration of sensors can be checked on-site.
-
Cost-Effective Solutions: Provides lower retrofitting costs for existing pump stations and reduces construction and pipework expenses for new installations.
